40 years Birthday Party - Line Dance Weekend at Crazy Flutters

Crazy Flutters is turning 40! We will celebrate with a wonderful Line Dance Weekend! We will dance in our venue Cabinen, Forum in Märsta and in the Teatern at Hotel Kristina in Sigtuna where we will have our party dance on Saturday evening. For this we have engaged 2 fantastic choreographers who will give us workshops from beginner to intermediate always with a twinkle in their eye!

How about Ivonne Verhagen from the Netherlands together with Collin Ghys from Belgium. What a great couple!

A VERY WELCOME to the ANNIVERSARY DANCE!

Dance 2 days with dances from beginner to intermediate. Dance list always with alternative dances so that everyone can dance as much as they want. On Saturday night we have our party dance with an 80s theme (optional). Also a technique course and try West Coast Swing. You can find the full program over the days below.

We mix open dance with workshops and recaps as we go. Your DJ is Urban Danielsson (choreographer and instructor) who, together with lovely officials from Crazy Flutters, will take good care of you!

Here are some brief facts about the event:

Location: The dance takes place at Cabinen, Forum in Märsta (Stockholmsvägen 25). On Saturday evening, the evening party dance is at Hotell Kristina in Sigtuna. If you don't have your own car, we will arrange transportation to/from the hotel Hotell Kristina is located about 10 minutes by car from Forum.

Parking: Free parking (not overnight)

Walking distance: 10-15 minutes from the commuter train station

Deadline for registration: October 25, pre-registration mandatory

Please state in your registration: if you need special diets and if you need transportation to/from Hotell Kristina.

Weekend price incl. dinner, lunch x 2 and coffee break both days: SEK 1,450 (EUR 140)

Ivonne Verhagen has choreographed 272 dances, of which 165 have been co-choreographed. Their first published stepsheet on CopperKnob is Fox On The Run from October 2007, with their most recent stepsheet of Petrics Best in Feburary 2025.

Additionally, Ivonne Verhagen had a CopperKnob no.1 dance in October 2024 with Dr. Dancefloor, and has recently had 9 other dances in the top 10.

Colin Ghys has choreographed 65 dances, of which 56 have been co-choreographed. Their first published stepsheet on CopperKnob is 1-2-3 Calypso from March 2019, with their most recent stepsheet of The Way You Make Me Feel (fr) in Feburary 2025.

Additionally, Colin Ghys had a CopperKnob no.1 dance in January 2025 with The Way You Make Me Feel, and has recently had 5 other dances in the top 10.

Line Dance instructor since 1993.Educated by NTA coaches Nicholas Cort and Zuzana Cortova in Sweden.

Urban Danielsson has choreographed 101 dances, of which 12 have been co-choreographed. Their first published stepsheet on CopperKnob is That's Why We Dance from October 2010, with their most recent stepsheet of Out In the Sticks in Feburary 2025.

Crazy Flutters Square Dance Club started its activities in the fall of 1985 and operates around the dance forms Square, Line and Round Dance. The club mainly operates in Sigtuna municipality and collaborates with the Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan.

For the first 10 years, only Square Dance was danced. Then Line Dance was introduced and a few years later also Round Dance. Being a club with these 3 dance forms is quite rare. Our goal is to give all dance forms equal space.
